Good Entertainment July 2, 2009 E. Puglisi (Buchanan, MI United States) I finally got one of these after spending a bit of time playing with my sister's model. This is what sold me on it! The downside of online shopping is not being able to see the real item. I like this Nintendo DS a lot! I mostly enjoy puzzle type games, having never got Mario through the first stage even once, but finding Tetris to be a severe addiction... I was looking for a device on which to play it as I can't seem to find the original Game Boy. I do have the DS Tetris version and am getting the hang of it. I find the DS to be engaging and easy to use. I got screen savers as I do have one game that requires a good bit of aggression on my part to make things happen [Rhythm Nation], but for most of the time a saver doesn't seem to be needed. Battery life is adequate, screens are superior to the original Game Boy. Haven't tried wi fi yet. And I love this color!! The gismo has substance and seems like it has good quality to its construction, but I also got it a case so it will stay nice no matter where I go with it.
A workout for the brain June 29, 2009 Cytotech in VA I found the "brain" games interesting and challenging. I haven't seen a great improvement on the games that I don't do well in but perhaps that comes after a while.
Good Choice June 29, 2009 Monarch Butterfly Buying the DS Lite was such a good choice--especially when you find yourself waiting to see the physician and/or waiting for a train or bus. I am quite pleased with it and the ability to play Gameboy games even though the new DSi has come out.
fun! June 27, 2009 Angela Waters (San Diego, CA) It is a fun little gadget to play games on. I thought that it would be more technologically advanced though. It's heavier and bigger than I thought as well. Overall though it's nice. I really like the silver.
Newer and better model. June 26, 2009 M. King I love the DS lite. I play it every day. It has many new features on it that makes it helpful. Like, the brightness level, ds download play, date and time settings, pictochat, and much more. The games for it r awsome. It is much lighter, brighter, and smaller than the old one. The wireless multiplayer mode makes it much eaiser and fun to play. Even if u dont have the same game u can still play it on multiplayer. However some games u do have to have the same game and others if u dont, u may not be able to play the whole game features if u dont have the same game but it still works. It has an amazing wi-fi mode to play on the wireless internet with people around the world. There is a microphone u can buy too that allows u to talk with other people. This is an amazing system.
